Unlock the Key to Rapid Hybrid Cloud Deployment

By Fred McHugh |   Apr 20, 2021

So, what is the key? In one word – Morpheus. In Greco-Roman mythology, Morpheus is one of the sons of Hypnos, the god of sleep and dreams. In the era of the hybrid cloud in which business never sleeps, there is a new Morpheus—Morpheus Data. Morpheus Data is a next-generation hybrid cloud management and application infrastructure automation engine. It’s a completely agnostic cloud management platform which really means it provides you the tools to get internal IT over the finish line in your quest to attain greater agility, control, efficiency and most of all speed across your entire IT estate.

Why Observability is a Game Changer for Cloud and APM

By Fred McHugh |   Mar 30, 2021

When we look at how IT technology has changed within the enterprise over the past decade, we often point to the proliferation of virtualization and the cloud. That is understandable as these technologies have played significant roles in the digital transformation of the world today. Now that these technologies have become conventional standards within the enterprise today, there is another identifiable technology sector that has emerged in importance and stature – cloud and application monitoring. The growing presence of these solutions is a testament to the fact that enterprises are realizing the substantial benefit of application and performance monitoring across networks of growing complexity.

6 Reasons Why You Need Cloud Observability

By Fred McHugh |   Mar 25, 2021

The Digital Transformations that the world has undergone has led to an insatiable appetite for applications and built a robust reliance on them. This reliance on apps and infrastructure has been greatly magnified this past year by the absence of physical face to face contact stemming from remote work strategies. Because your business is dependent on applications, the performance of your business is tied to the performance levels of your applications. Now compound this with the great cloud migration, and it becomes challenging to discern what is truly happening out there with your apps and the cloud(s) in which they reside. These are but some of the reasons why your enterprise needs a Cloud and Application Monitoring solution that is built with the future in mind. Below are some of the benefits you can derive from a premier APM solution, such as Dynatrace.

Why We’re Excited About the New Morpheus v5.0 Release

By Fred McHugh |   Oct 13, 2020

Morpheus Data recently unveiled the next version of its hybrid cloud management platform. While already recognized as a Leader in Gartner’s 2020 Magic Quadrant for Cloud Management Platforms, this new release further cements its place on the list.

In addition to improving all the great day-2 functionality that comes built-in, Morpheus made improvements in some key areas of their hybrid cloud management platform. Improving the catalog view with personas is a big one. The ability to tailor a user’s view can really improve the experience. For example, you don’t want non-technical folks overwhelmed with too many options. This allows your team to customize the catalog to each user’s job.

IT Automation for Hybrid Cloud, Multi-cloud with VMware

By Fred McHugh |   Sep 01, 2020

As technology changes, so do priorities. For today’s enterprises, the most important pieces of the IT equation are speed, flexibility and agility. However, IT is often overwhelmed with lifecycle management and infrastructure delivery. To keep up with business demands and improve efficiency, IT teams need to make use of automation to accelerate operations.

3 Reasons to Utilize Morpheus For Multi-Cloud Management

By Fred McHugh |   Aug 25, 2020

While the cloud is not necessarily a new technology, it’s only been over the last decade that cloud computing has evolved from a new, market disrupting trend to an almost universally accepted method for delivering next-gen services.

Why your hybrid cloud needs application-centric orchestration

By Fred McHugh |   Aug 04, 2020

In an era of transformation, speed and agility of application infrastructure is key. Unfortunately, it can take IT weeks to deliver new application stacks when requested because of manual hand-offs across a fragmented set of ‘software-definable’ technologies on-premises. This inefficiency leads teams to bypass IT in favor of public cloud application services which raises cloud costs and opens security holes.

The Benefits of Digital Transformation are Realized with Cloud

By Fred McHugh |   Jan 15, 2019

Digital transformation is a transformation with no perceived endpoint, but a recurrent digital evolutionary process. It is a race, a race that is both a sprint and a marathon at the same time. It is a race with no assigned course or track, nor a checkered flag to pronounce the winner. Winning the race simply entails the ability to use knowledge, innovation, and IT agility to turn ideas into value and do it better and faster than any of your competitors.
